Tasting Notes
Our 2025 Viognier is a splendor of aroma: honeysuckle, jasmine, and ripe peach, apricot aromas, a silky mouthfeel, and a soft rounded acidity.Winemaker Notes
Viognier, originally from the Rhone Valley of France, is known for its bright aromatics of peach, tangerine and honeysuckle. Much like the Rhone, the Sierra foothills are composed of decomposed granite, a perfect soil for Viognier. 2025 was a cool vintage, allowing the Viognier to reach full ripeness slowly while retaining fresh fruit & acidity. We destemmed and crushed the grapes, then allowed 24hrs of skin contact before pressing. This skin contact results in a vibrant fruit flavor. The juice is then fermented cool in stainless steel tanks for 14days and aged in stainless steel tanks for 5 months on lees before bottling.Wine Profile
